About the Singer
Andy grew up on a farm.
Andy Anderson grew up on a farm in Marshall, Wisconsin. When he discovered his love for singing, he would commute over an hour to take voice lessons with a university student. His first big opportunity to study opera hands-on came when he joined the High School Apprenticeship Program at the Madison Opera in 2016.
He graduated from the Manhattan School of Music in 2022.
Andy was accepted into the Manhattan School of Music in 2018, and graduated in 2022. It was in 2018 that he moved to New York City, and love with the city that he still calls home. He had the privilege of working with a wide variety of exceptional teachers and coaches in these years.
Andy has had the privilege to sing a variety of repertoire, his favorites being Zerlina from Don Giovanni, Susanna in scenes from Le Nozze di Figaro, Ilia from Idomeneo, Frasquita in scenes from Carmen. Most notably, Andy sang The Queen of the Night in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, directed by A. Scott Parry, coached by German Diction expert, Nils Neubert.
Andy continues to sing as a soloist in recitals and sacred services, as well as in operas, and opera scene performances. He studies closely with master pedagogue, Valentin Peytchinov, in New York City. He performs regularly with Vocal Productions NYC, and has shared recitals with the Dominican Pianist, Josue Kennedy Nunez.
